If your library has this set of forms, be sure to get familiar with it. It is a remarkably diverse general formbook.

As indicated by its title, this "cyclopedia" does one thing: it provides forms. And Nichol's does this VERY well!

THE INDEX

The index to Nichol's will provide the researcher with a topic and section number. These correspond to the main volumes. Simply locate the volume with the referenced topic, then locate the section number within that topic. Hopefully you will find a form to assist you in the project you are working on.

THE MAIN VOLUME

While Nichol's will provide some forms that are almost templates in design, the real value in this publication is that for any form being prepared, Nichol's will provide a sample clause or paragraph for virtually any contingency. Notice the page on the left. These clauses refer to a lease agreement. The person drafting the lease agreement would review these paragraphs, picking and choosing the elements that were applicable to the lease being drawn up. And don't be surprised when I tell you that many attorney's experienced with lease and contract preparation will still develop new ideas and techniques, ones they hadn't previously thought of, from books like this.
